You are not a robot...yet
After reading the article "Is Google Making Us Stupid?"by Nicholas Carr, I started to realize much the internet really has affected the way we think. It's almost as if the more time we spend with technology, the more alike we and technology become. We no longer slow down and think things through, we like to jump from one thought to another, just like the way we browse through things on the internet. We value efficiency over ingenuity and quantity over quality. To many, virtual worlds seem more appealing than the real world. Slowly we become less social, and spend more time focused on escaping to the stress-free virtual reality. We strive to rid ourselves of emotions such as pain by drowning ourselves with a constant flow of information that poses little use to us. The systematic ways of computers has begun to influence the ways we view our world. We are practically turning into robots! Will there actually come a day when we may come to resemble what Carr describes as "pancake people"? Is there any way to prevent this?

This is a sort of mob mentality that Google makes us experience. The mob mentality refers to us being influenced by other people to do the same things. A massive amount of people do use Google on a daily basis, and it does make sense that we do adopt similar quirks and wants. However, prevention comes from realization, so the best way to prevent everyone from becoming "pancake people" would be to spread the word.
